Our Story: Walking the Green Path from Cape Town to the World

I’ve been in the footwear industry for 20 years - designing, sourcing, and producing shoes for South Africans from all walks of life. Over that time, I’ve travelled the globe and seen firsthand how the fashion industry - especially fast fashion - has harmed our planet. I’ve seen the plastic waste choking our rivers & oceans, the pollution hanging in the air, and the piles of discarded products built to last a season, not a lifetime.

That’s when something shifted in me. I couldn’t keep doing business as usual.

Green T was born out of a need to do better - to make a product that not only looks good and feels good but actually does good. A sneaker made with purpose, not just profit. We use post-consumer recycled plastic, recycled rubber, and post-consumer recycled PU in every pair. We’re not here to greenwash. We’re here to push sustainability to its highest level - to challenge the norm and walk a different path.

These shoes are for everyone - not just the environmentally aware. They’re for anyone who wants something that looks great, feels incredible, and makes a positive impact with every step. We’re about comfort, timeless design, and doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest option.

I’ll be honest - we’re not perfect. But we’re starting. We’re committed. And we believe you are too.We will evolve, and we will continue to strive to do better. This journey is never-ending, and we must keep pushing for better — for ourselves, for the planet, and for future generations.
